Strawberry Festival

The Strawberry Festival is our annual fund-raiser and a day of family-oriented entertainment for the whole community.  Invite your friends and family to participate, contribute, and most certainly to attend the festivities! Doors open at 9:00 am. The parade is at 10:00, followed by music, food, children's games and fellowship until 1:00 pm. It starts with a parade up Main Street to the church grounds, featuring among others (it varies), a bagpiper, fire engines, a non-scary clown, and a miniature horse. Children can decorate their bikes at the library and ride them in the parade, too. It's never the same from year to year; but there are always strawberry shortcakes and pies, hot dogs with Ruth's famous relish, and a table of baked goods and preserves.  For kids there are indoor crafts, entertainment, and outdoor activities.  Music is provided by the Lincolnville Band and local musicians.

Many hands make light work and more fun. Some ideas: picking berries, hulling berries, making shortcakes and pies, serving shortcakes and pies, organizing children's activities inside or out, cooking and serving hot dogs, making strawberry jam and baked goods.  A description of activities and needs: pdfSF activities 2017.pdf564.56 KB

Please join us for an old-fashioned good time. Check out our gallery below to see some of the fun in past years.
