Our Mission

 med2

Our purpose shall be to foster love of God and love of neighbor within our congregation, within our community,  and within our world, through: lively programs of spiritual formation for children, youth, and adults seeking  God's presence in their lives; intentional hospitality towards all who choose to join us for worship, service, and  fellowship in the spirit of Jesus Christ; and devotion to the idea that no matter where we are in life's journey, all  are welcome here at United Christian Church.

In accordance with the Gospel covenant, which binds into a unity 'faithful people of all ages, tongues, and races, " membership in the church shall be open to anyone. Members shall pledge themselves to attend the worship  services of the church and to live the Christian life; to share in the life and work of the church; to contribute to  its support and benevolences; and to seek diligently the spiritual welfare of the membership and the  community.

UCC Land Acknowledgement:

The Maine Conference United Church of Christ recognizes and honors the current nations of the Wabanaki Confederacy – the Maliseet, the Passamaquoddy, the Penobscot, the Mi'kmaq – and their ancestor, who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.

We respect the traditional values of the Wabanaki nations, affirm their inherent sovereignty in this territory we now call Maine, and support their efforts for land and water protection and restoration, and for cultural healing and recovery.
